Is it wrong to have a site about Coldfusion written in PHP?

A most perplexing question for a web developer…

I’m just curious what you all think. Originally my website was written in PHP. In order to learn Coldfusion, I reprogrammed my website in Coldfusion. Alas, I have become close to an expert with Expression Engine CMS (it is awesome…check it out  I am using the EE Core v1.6.8 which is the free version of Expression Engine (aka EE).  It is free as long as its for non-commercial use.  So, is it wrong to change my Coldfusion website from Coldfusion to PHP? Leave your comments.

I’ve used the full version of EE before and well it is amazing - the best and most flexible CMS out there. Alot of people I work with like to compare EE to Wordpress, but really it is wrong to compare the two, they really belong in different categories.  Wordpress is a very powerful free blogging platform, its open source, its written in PHP and connects to a MySQL database.

EE is an extremely powerful and very affordable full featured content management system, its open source, it is written in PHP, and it connects to a mySQL database.  EE has a very robust blogging platform in it as well. But thats where the similarity ends.  The next post will go on to explain why EE is so great.  IF you have not tried it yet, get off your ass and try it!
